2009-2010 Conference Coach of the Year!

Spanish River Basketball is always reaching for new heights and this year our goals are higher than 10 feet. This program prides itself on commitment to excellence, being trustworthy, and caring of others. Our mentality is "offense entertains and defense wins games".  Our players understand that attitude and effort are the major focus, while committed to competing hard and winning games. 

For 12 years the program has been under the direction of Coach John Jones. Coach Jones has accumulated the most wins by any Spanish River Basketball Coach in the schools history. He has a 193-147 record over 12 years. In 1996 the boys team posted its best record in the schools history going 28-7, winning the District Tournament that year and advancing to the Regional Semifinals.

During his coaching years, Coach Jones has had several All County, All Area, and All Conference players, and in addition, having one player advance and become a Division 2 All-American player.
